Your Initial Financial Plan:

Preparing your initial financial plan isn't easy.  To make matters worse, it's very unlikely that both you and your spouse will share the same enthusiasm for the financial planning process.

If you're the more enthusiastic one, you've probably heard some pretty good excuses from your spouse as he or she tried to delay, or avoid altogether, working on your initial financial plan.  Please e-mail us at  excuses@NewlywedFinances.com the best excuse that your spouse was able to come up with, and we'll post it below.

If you're the less enthusiastic spouse, please share with the other readers what excuse worked the best for you.  And did your excuse just delay the process, or did it allow you to completely avoid working on the initial financial plan? Simply e-mail your successful excuses to us at excuses@NewlywedFinances.com and we'll post them below.

Here's Some Excuses Submitted by Other Newlyweds

Run out of excuses?

Maybe some flowers or candy will convince your spouse to let you take a little break from working on your initial financial plan.
